DIXON, 2ND - POWER, 1ST - HUNTER-REAY, 3RD
On the build-up to the Indy 500 they hold this race two weeks before the 500. In the old days the month of May was practice only. They hold this race at the Speedway, but use the road course left over from Formula One days instead of the oval track. Will Power (I still love that name) came in first for his second win of the season. Which was win number 30 on his overall wins and puts him number 11 on the overall wins for everybody. Third went to Ryan Hunter-Reay which was his 100th top ten finish.
Tony Kanaan and Takuma Sato ended up in 20th and 12th. Sebastian Bourdais unfortunately went out in the first lap. Favorite team, Ed Carpenter Racing, ended up in 9th and 14th. Juan Pablo Montoya, although not racing this season, finished 10th as a practice run to the 500.
Next, the Indy 500.
