WINNER DARIO FRANCHITTI AND ASHLY JUDD
After a record breaking 35 lead changes, Dario Franchitti has joined the ranks of three-time winners of the Indianapolis 500. Pictured here with his wife, actress Ashley Judd, who has a hit TV series this year.
It was a fast, hard race as it always is. The record heat temps didn’t seem to cause any failures, but as usual there were the accidents. In the las lap Takuma Sato, my personal favorite, was running in second place. He took the do-or-die chance to pass Franchitti, but (oh, no) he spun out freezing the race ending. Franchitti in first, his teammate Scott Dixon in second and Tony Kanaan (always a crowd favorite) in third. As always with the Indy 500, it isn’t over until its over.
