FIVE MORE OF THE TOP 100
FORMULA ONE IN SPAIN
Kimi Raikkonen
A luckless spattered race that saw half the field drop out. The winner was Formula One champ Kimi Raikkonen. Followed by his Ferrari teammate Massa and bringing up third was Hamilton for McLaren.
Hamilton's teammate Heikki Kovalainen had a big 150 mile per hour wipeout. His was the only "luck" in this luckless race. He is okay.

Michigan, my home State, is host to the 'Classic Car Auction of Michigan' each spring. The State is now very depressed and the auction is mostly 'no reserve.' It will be interesting to see what happens. Always good:

CHAMP CAR IN CALIFORNIA - THE LAST HOORAY!
WILL POWER
Long Beach, a street race, I love a street race. At the end of last season the Champ Car World Series had a couple of races get cancelled (China and Phoenix) and it looked pretty bleak for the series to survive. Champ Car took over from the CART series about 12 years ago and I guess it hasn't been easy. Just like it wasn't easy for CART to survive. I thought that it was the perfect opportunity for some BIG MONEY man to take over the series because some of them have been nosing around the last few years. Instead Champ Car merged with IndyCar and some teams and drivers will stay.
They would not have run this race except that IndyCar had a race in Japan and they didn't want to lose this race so it was run with last year's Champ Cars. The race was won by Will Power (I still love that name) and his points will carry over to the IndyCar schedule. So, now it is over, all over, but the tears.

INDYCAR IN JAPAN...TEARS OF JOY
Tears of joy for Danica Patrick as she became the first woman to win a major race. It was bound to happen one day, any day. This was also her 50th race in IndyCar. The race was held up for 22 hours looking for a window without rain.
She was followed by, in just a mere 5 seconds, Hellio Castroneves and then Scott Dixon.
