HAMILTON, 2ND - FERRARI MANAGEMENT - VETTEL, 1ST -BOTTAS, 3RD
The picture says it all and these drivers will be the 'usual suspects' throughout the season. Several years ago when the track at Bahrain first opened their races were 'ho-hum' to boring. These last few years they have been very good. Today was no exception, very good race, especially the first 30 laps. Sebastian Vettel was able to pull it off again. Followed by Lewis Hamilton and his teammate, Valtteri Bottas. We should have an interesting run for the championship this year. I am always invited to this race and hope to make some year.
Massa came in 6th and Hulkenberg ended in 9th. Romain Grosjean placed 8th for the Haas Team and his teammate, Kevin Magnussen, did not finish at lap 49.
A very good race in the sunshine only four hours from where I am currently residing. I couldn't be much happier with the results. James Hinchcliffe, who races for Schmidt Peterson Motorsports, came in first. He was followed by Sebastian Bourdias who drives for Dale Coyne Racing. Both those teams are on my favorite teams list. With Sebastian being on my favorite current drivers list. His rookie teammate came in 6th leaving a day's work well done. Third went to Josef Newgarden.
Tony Kanaan ended up in 15th and Takuma Sato ended up in 18th. The Ed Carpenter Team ended up in 8th and 11th....nice!
Hamilton got the jump and never looked back. Vettel has had a very strong car this year and he snapped up second place. He promises to be a contender for the championship. Who knows, we are a long way from the end of the season. Verstappen came in third...well, he didn't just come in third, he went from 16th to 3rd giving the driver of the day status. Snapping right at his heels was his teammate, Ricciardo, less than two seconds away. Poor Raikkonnen, team management has been on him right from the beginning of the season....look, he came in 5th today and 4th in the last race...give the man a chance.
Tough day for both Hulkenberg and Massa. Hulkenberg in 12th and Massa in 14th.
Haas Team ended up in 8th (Magnussen) and 11th (Grosjean).
