FORMULA ONE IN RUSSIA

VETTEL, 2ND - TONY ROSS FROM MERCEDES - BOTTAS, 1ST - RAIKKONEN, 3RD

Even though I spent several years getting tired of Sebastian Vettel's complaining and constant winning (a plus for him, can't take away what a good driver he is) I found myself cheering him on at the end of this race. We all have to give it to Bottas for a fine job and I guess that is what Mercedes saw in him for their choice. For Bottas this was a first win in Formula One. He bemoaned the fact that it took him over 80 races to do it. He shouldn't be so hard on himself because there have been drivers that drove hundreds of races never to win. Vettel was so close at the end, only 0.617 seconds behind. His teammate, Kimi Raikkonen, came in third.

My favorites are the same, with Hulkenberg in at 8th and Massa finishing 9th due to a last minute flat tire. The American Haas Team had Magnussen in 13th and Grosjean out on lap 52.

A TRULY HAPPY FOR BOTTAS LOOK FROM FORMER TEAMMATE MASSA

I have to give the drivers credit for all appearing happy that Bottas won with handshakes and pats on the back. Although, a cool one from Raikkonen, what would you expect from the 'Iceman.' Or could it be because there is a new Finn in town.

Also a nice touch from Putin. He didn't just pass the trophy and run....he spoke to each of the top winning drivers back stage. This is something that rarely happens.
