SPECIAL OF THE WEEK

1939 FORD

Description:
Here is your chance to own a fantastic looking and driving 1939 Early Ford V8. It can be enjoyed on day one, no need to put money into it or take it to your mechanic. All the expensive stuff is working great, such as the motor, transmission, and brakes. The '39 is ready to drive to out of town car shows and weekend cruises.
Exterior
Stock color of Jefferson Blue, Ford script white walls with plenty of tread, original hub caps, bumpers, grille, headlights, working cowl vent, huge trunk for rum running, super clean undercarriage.
Mechanics
The stock '39 motor runs strong and is highly detailed and correct. As you can see in the photos, it can be driven on the highway. No overheating, no popping out of second gear. I just went through the brakes, and put in a new master cylinder. The carb has been rebuilt, new gas tanks and fuel lines, electric fuel pump with On/Off switch under the dash.
Interior
The design of the 1939 interiors is one of the best looking ever. Beautiful, comfortable, great, proper wood graining, super clean. Original gauges, steering wheel, dash, radio, clock, crank out windshield.

MARIA DE FILIPPIS.........1926 - 2016

An Italian racing driver that was the first woman in Formula One. She raced for Maserati in 1958 just as I was becoming interested in Formula One. The Belgian Grand Prix was the only race that she finished. In keeping with the thought that women should not play in the men's world the race director of the French Grand Prix would not allow her to race. Doesn't matter, she opened the door. Here we are though 58 years later and there still aren't any female drivers in Formula One. There are some in the testing mode, but none racing in that venue. In 1959 she moved to Porsche, but after failing to qualify for the Monaco Grand Prix she took a walk on racing that lasted for 20 years. In 1979 she joined the International Club of Former Formula One Grand Prix Drivers. She became their vice president in 1997. She was also a founding member of the Maserati Club in 2004 and became its chairman.
