24 HOURS OF LE MANS

At the Indy 500 it is all about the winner. No one remembers who came in second or third. At the Le Mans 24 Hour Endurance race it is all about the car. This year Audi pulled it off in one, two, three. Three drivers per car alternating throughout the 24 hours, but only one can be behind the wheel when it crosses the finish line. Timo Bernhard was the lucky man. In the center is Timo Bernhard, Romain Dumas and Mike Rockenfeller. In second place, on the left is Marcel Fassier, Andre Lotterer and Benoit Treluter. In third place, on the right is Dindo Capello, Tom Kristensen and Allan McNish. Every year it rains at some point during the 24 hours. I thought they escaped it this year because every time I watched it the track was dry. Wrong again, it did rain at some point in the middle of the night. This is the oldest endurance race which started in 1923 and run every year except during the war years.
