If you are traveling this weekend and find yourself near Chandler, Arizona treat yourself to the Bob Bondurant 80th Birthday blowout at Wild Horse Pass Motorsport Park. In my younger days I remember Bob Bondurant very well. Like some other race car drivers he started off on motorcycles and then went on to cars....driving them all Le Mans, Formula One, Can-Am, NASCAR. He drove them all. After an accident that left him banged up he decided to open a High Performance Driving School. It celebrated its 45th year this year. He has trained many people that went into racing and many actors like James Garner, Paul Newman, Clint Eastwood, Robert Wagner, Tim Allen, Tom Cruise and Nicolas Gage. He has packed a lot of life into his 80 years.
