MOTOR ART....DEXTER BROWN


Dexter was born in London in 1942. He studied at Harrow College of Art 1956-1960. His teachers included such respected painters as Ken Howard RA and Fred Cumin RA. Recognition for his work began in 1967 with his solo exhibition at the Monte Carlo Galleries in Alexandria, VA. (USA) and subsequently through exhibitions at the Thackeray Gallery, London. He also exhibited at the RI and the RBA in London and was elected RI in 1967.

Dexter has been on the world automotive art scene for nearly three decades. His work, which in the past decade has evolved into a significant abstract expression of racing images, has been the subject of articles and exhibitions throughout Europe. The images he has created for Ferrari and Porsche have been featured in advertising, magazines and other forms of mass media for many years.
