SPECIAL OF THE WEEK

1963 AVANTI

Avanti, loosely translated from Italian it means forward!

This is exactly where then Studebaker President Sherwood Egbert hoped to lead his company when he introduced this unique car in 1963. Rare car! 1 of only 1552 Avanti R2’s produced in 1963. 46k original miles, one repaint, lots of receipts and documentation. Spectacular red paint job (originally white). The car has also had a full engine overhaul. Always stored in a climate controlled facility. Interior is not perfect but really nice. Seat covers and headliner have been redone.

Solid car, no rust, hog troughs look great. High quality cond 2 car. Can be shown or driven. This Avanti is a blast to drive.

Heads turn wherever you take it and the sounds from that supercharged 289 V8 motor are incredible.
