This 1951 Chevy Suburban show stopper gives SUV a whole new meaning. Not many
owners would pick this classic and make a show machine out of it but this owner
did and boy did he get it right. This is one stunning Suburban. For most owners
it starts off as dream, a passion for something unique and something desirable.
Our client started with a bone stock 1951 Suburban and took it to a whole other
level. This winning 51 Suburban is now being offered for the first time and now
you can enjoy gaining all the glory. The owner had the 51 completely
disassembled and the frame boxed and smoothed. Then he added a custom Air Ride
set-up by Ride-Tech to support the Currie nine inch with a four link in the rear
and a power rack and pinion to the front clip supplied by TCI. The 51 stops on a
dime with power four wheel disc brakes and muscle is supplied by a ZZ4 Crate
engine with 700 R4 transmission. This 51 was taken down to bare metal and was
undercoated with Lizard Skin to help suppress heat and noise from coming inside.
The stunning interior was completed by Shawn Patterson in Placerville, Ca. The
51 has everything you could ever want or need with power steering, power brakes,
ice cold air conditioning and heat, and is finished off with Wheelsmith powder
coated smoothies. Custom 8' x 24' Jymglo trailer designed for this Suburban can
be purchased separately.
