FORMULA ONE IN BAHRAIN

NICO ROSBERG

This was a pretty decent race for Bahrain. Last year was a good one too. So maybe this is a vision of things to come. Rosberg jumped out in front and stayed there. A Ferrari in second, but a different one than usual....one belonging to Kimi Raikkonen. Lewis Hamilton came in third.

My favorites, Massa came in 8th and Nico Hulkenberg came in 15th suffering right from the beginning of the race.

There were several drives of note starting with Raikkonen whose car actually held together. Romain Grosjean, driving for the new American team, came in 5th. As a team this will be my favorite for sometime into the future because of all the naysayers before they hit the track. Stoffel Vandoorne, emergency fill-in for Alonso, had never driven in a Formula One race. He came in 10th and in the points.....I don't think McLaren will be letting him go in the near future...I am sure they will use him to replace one of their high priced drivers. Rookie Pascal Wehrlein, driving for Manor, came in 13th which is probably the best they have ever done. Wehrlein came with the new Mercedes engines and I am sure we will see a big improvement in this team.
