FORMULA ONE IN ITALY

My thoughts were with Kimi Raikkonen throughout this race. Running in first place for the majority of the race, but it was not to be. In the last few laps Lewis Hamilton was able to pull ahead for the win. Raikkonen came in second being down about .7 of a second. Bottas came in third after being bumped by Verstappen on track. That 'bump' cost Verstappen a penalty of 5 seconds dropping him into fourth after a solid third for the whole race. Records are made to be broken and this year has seen a lot of them go by the wayside. Hamilton equaled the Michael Schumacher record of five wins at Monza. Next win out will give him the record. Raikkonen made history in qualifying by putting in the fastest Formula One lap ever. Ever! A rip-roaring 163.793 miles per hour beating out a 2004 record of 162.950 mph held by Juan
Pablo Montoya.

Nico Hulkenberg ended up in 14th after starting in last place because of last week's penalty.for causing an accident. The Haas team came 6th and 17th. The new Force India again ended up with a very nice 7th and 8th.
