SPECIAL OF THE WEEK

1952 BUICK

This is a superb, California, unrestored, totally original 1952 Buick Roadmaster Estate Wagon from the next-to-last year of true wood-bodied Estate Wagons built for Buick by Ionia, one of just 359 built on the Series 70 Roadmaster chassis with 321 cubic inch overhead valve inline eight, 4-barrel carburetor, 170hp and Dynaflow automatic transmission. Its second owners were Floyd and Lillian Rammell in Sacramento, California who purchased it in 1957, and was acquired by an Oklahoma collection directly from the Rammell family in 1996, giving it just three owners from new and a continuous history of careful ownership and continuous attention. The car comes complete with an extensive file of original period photos of the car from the 1950's thru the 1990's as well as original books and sales materials. In addition to Dynaflow it also has power steering, power-assisted brakes, radio and Buick-labeled underdash air conditioning. The wheels have wide whitewall tires and Buick's distinctive "sombrero" wheel covers. The body, and particularly the original Ionia wood, is straight and solid. The interior upholstery and trim appears to be original while the carpets have been replaced. A series of oil change stickers on the doors and jambs attest to its care and attention. Cars of this quality, style, utility and attractiveness in such uniformly sound and well-maintained original condition are increasingly hard to come by. This is a wonderful opportunity to acquire a complete, good running and driving, rare Buick Roadmaster Estate Wagon that can be driven, enjoyed and even shown exactly as it is for years and years to come. You don't see them like this very often.
