INDYCAR IN IOWA

RYAN HUNTER-REAY

Ryan Hunter-Reay had the time to scoot in for new tires which put him ahead of the pack. I was rooting for Tony Kanaan who had led for 247 laps....seems like when you work that hard you should at least get a win. We all know that isn't the way it works, but I was rooting for Tony anyway. Josef Newgarden, with is best finish to date, came in second. Tony Kanaan came in third.

Ed Carpenter, the oval king, came in fifth. Finishing last was Takuma Sato due to an accident on lap 47.
