INDYCAR IN FLORIDA

Hooray! The season begins. New cars, 25% new drivers, half of which qualified at the top of the heap. I think this is going to be an interesting season. The new cars are hard to drive, but by the end of the year they should have that sorted out. The problems left them with 25 laps of the yellow flag. The winner was Sebastian Bordais who I have always followed and was happy for his win. He is now 39 and won't have too much longer in Indycar. Second place went to Graham Rahal who had a great drive from last place to second. Alexander Rossi came in third after a shunt with the lead car in the last two laps of the race. At that time the lead car was Robert Wickens who had led for 60-some laps, nice shot for a rookie.

My two favorite drivers remain the same this year. Both have switched teams...Tony Kanaan, now with A.J. Foyt, came in 11th place. Takumo Sato, now with the Rahal-Letterman team, came in 12th.

Ed Carpenter Racing also remains as a favorite with finishes in 15th and 21st.
